Stamp sets:
None
Paper:
Brocade Blue
More Mustard
Summer Sun
Chocolate Chip DP
Raspberry Tart DP
Inks:
None
Accessories:
Sizzix Beautiful Butterflies
Sizzix Scallop #2
1 3/8 cicrle punch
Old Olive 5/8 Grosgrain
SU Pretties Kit
Technique:
Paper Weaving - center of Flower
Fraying Ribbon- Grass

I wanted to play around with the Paper Weaving technique and this what I ended up with. I cut my strips of DP paper 3/4" wide then cut the strips in half with my SU Craft and Paper Scissors, that I absolutely love, so the flower center wouldn't be "perfect". I used the largest scallop on the die and cut slits to form petals. On the Summer Sun petals I cut off a sliver more on each petal just because I thought it looked better:) I also gave each petal a slight bend under and folded every other petal up and then the remaining petals down to give it more of a 3D look. I also folded and bent the butterfly wings for more interest.

I love this. I'm going to have to try this idea. The paper weaving looks great!

What a cute card, I really like the woven flower centre and your idea of using the frayed ribbon for grass!
