Sorry the image is so blurry. Maybe for Christmas my family will get me a new camera:) I love using blue and white for Christmas things. I'm very traditional and using colors other than red, green, blue, white silver and gold are very hard for me but when it comes to Clubs & Classes I have to. That means until the holidays get closer I can do what I want! LOL

Paper: Soft Suede, Crushed Curry, Very Vanilla
Inks: Soft Suede, Crushed Curry, Bermuda Bay
Accessories: Old Olive 1/4" grosgrain ribbon, Styled Vanilla Hodgepodge Hardware, Sponge (used to apply Bermuda Bay ink)

It's hard to believe but this challenge was a challenge to me. I have very limited DP and none of my stamp sets appealed to me for creating my own DP. Finally settled on my newest favorite stamp set and well it didn't turn out half bad. In fact the more I look at it the more I like it. Try the challenge for yourself and see what you can create.

Open House projects

I had an SU Open House on Wednesday night. Not many people could make it so I let everyone that came make all 3 free make and take cards. I was going to let each person choose just one card just to keep things moving along for people that could only stop in for a few minutes to pick up the new SU Cattie and sign up for clubs.

I made the scrapbook page as a sample of how to use cards to create pages. Everyone loved it. I have to give a lot of credit to my design team, my daughters Cassie & Allissa, for helping me plan the designs to use and the colors combinations. I'm terrible at making decisions. I want to use all the colors and show hundreds of cards LOL. I guess that's why I signed up to be a demo.

Did anyone notice the card on the bottom left of the photo? Yup that's the card I did for Kerin's sketch challenge #20, which I happen to win:) Thanks Kerin looking forward to this weeks challenge and I hope all my fellow bloggers will join in on it.

My scanner doesn't show it but this is a very bright and cheerful card. My son, Zakariah, called from the UK just before I made this. I guess my excitement of talking to him came out in my color choices.

Stamps, Paper, Glitter Sketch Challenge 20

Kerin's Sketch Challenge #20
Stamp Sets: Trendy Trees, sanded BG
Paper: Bordering Blue, Whisper White, Always Artichoke, Mellow Moss, & the new in colors - Crushed Curry, Dusty Durango, and Rich Razzleberry
Inks: Choc. Chip, Mellow Moss, Always Artichoke(ink pad and marker)
Accessories: Wide oval punch, Cutter Kit, Stamp-a-ma-jig and scrap paper
Technique: Thumping on middle tree, distressed edges on larger oval, Tearing on the grass layers.
Use the scrap paper to make a Template 1/8" larger than the wide oval punch layer. after cutting out your back oval layers with paper snips use the distressing tool on your cutter kit(page 191 in the SU Cattie) to distress the edges until the oval looks oval and not cut out by hand, if you cut out better than me you can skip this step lol. I inked the leaves on the middle tree with Mellow Moss and then thumped the stamp with the Always Artichoke Marker.

Where have I been?

Okay my 17yr old, Trevor, is at Boys State until Friday morning, we made it to both of my 11yr old, Cassie, soccer games over the weekend, Went to oldest, 20yr old Zak, girlfriend's,Leigha, Graduation on Sat. and party on Sunday. Plus my 15yr old, Allissa, and I made her a 3 layer Graduation cake. I did the baking, frosting and stacking & Allissa did all the decorating. Then on Tuesday We took Zak & Leigh, yes the one that just graduated, to the train station. They had an 11hr ride to Boston and then they fly to England so Leigha can be a Nanny for a friend of her family who is moving there. Chance of of life time for the two of them. They will be there for 2 months and will be going to Euro Disney and to Italy with the family they are helping. Anyway today I did a little, very little stamping. It felt so good to be stamping but now I need to update my blog.
